Merlaud A4868 IP Paging System Console - Professional Intercom & Communication Solution

Product Description

This system has been developed in conjunction with leading Australian PA contractors and Merlaud PA products. It is designed to be simple to set up and install, and most importantly easy for the customer to use. There is no complex programming or set up involved and provides paging for up to 24 zones in a single paging system.

This flexible design is ideal for schools, shopping centres and large facilities where multi-zone paging is required between multiple buildings. It bridges the gap between internet protocol (IP) based and traditional 100V line PA systems. All components are designed to be plugged into the building local area network (LAN) and will connect to existing building PA, alarm and bell signalling equipment.

This paging controller is the heart of the system where all commands are initiated. It provides zone PA selection, multi-zone recall, background music (BGM) selection and do not disturb settings. When paging to a zone BGM is automatically muted (if selected in that zone). We have designed this touch operated interface to be as easy as possible to use for the end user.

This console connects to the Merlaud A4865 system encoder which has inputs for BGM and the Redback A4505B timer (or similar) for playback of school bells, alert and evacuation notices/tones. Any alarm or bell signal from the encoder is broadcast on an "all call" basis, overriding any BGM or PA selections. Do not disturb option prevents BGM, PA and bell tones, and allows emergency PA/tones only.

A minimum system comprises of this paging console and the A4865 system encoder. For zoned systems where connection to a traditional PA system is required, A4872 zone decoder can be added. This converts the IP audio back into standard analog stereo RCA for connection to standard PA amplifiers.
